Azerbaijan has had problems with foreign companies disrespecting the Labor Code, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Confederation of Trade Unions Agil Dadashov told media.
"We created a trade union at McDonalds restaurants," he said. "It included more than 70 members. However, the restaurant management punished the employees for joining the union. We are involved now in legal proceedings with the restaurant management."
He said it was impossible to form a trade union at Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola.
He added that their employees receive high wages.
"However, foreign companies violate their employees' right to leave," he said. "The duration of their holiday is less than envisaged by Azerbaijani legislation."
