BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15. One of the main forces behind the lightning-fast development of new technologies is the technological revolution, GSMA Chief Marketing Officer Lara Dewar said, Trend reports.

She made the statement during the panel session "Our Digital Genetics - Skills for Tomorrow" at the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 conference.

Dewar noted that the new generation of technology creates new opportunities.

"In the near future, ICT literacy will be needed in 90 percent of cases. We must work to ensure that everyone can not only access the Internet but also acquire skills related to it. In an era of rapidly evolving technology, the knowledge we teach today may not be needed tomorrow. We have to conduct this process continuously. Through networks, we have been able to connect 95 percent of the world's population. We must continue to invest in networks. Without collaboration, we could not succeed. 79 million people in Eurasia still do not have access to the Internet. We must create the conditions for these people to benefit from the Internet. In cross-sectoral cooperation, we can achieve this," she said.

To note, the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 international conference is taking place in Baku, spanning from May 15 through May 16. Attendees at this event include prominent politicians, regulators, CEOs of mobile operators, and IT companies. Baku is hosting the M360 Eurasia conference for the second time.

The event includes an exchange of views on the most relevant trends of the digital era.
