ZANGILAN, Azerbaijan, February 8. Azerishig OJSC continues to work on the restoration and rehabilitation of the electric economy in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, liberated from occupation, Trend reports.
The ruined electric economy of districts and villages is being renewed; 7 substations of 35/0.4 kV, including the Digital Control Center and Center of Innovative Technologies of Electric Networks in Shusha, 1 substation of 35/10 kV in Dashalti village, the nodal substation “Hadrut,” and the Digital Control Center in Jabrayil have been built and put into operation in recent years.
The head of state put into operation the 110/35-kilovolt substation “Istisu” in Kalbajar on September 2, 2024, and attended the inauguration of the Digital Control Center of the Zangilan electric network on October 3. Aghdam Power Grid and Digital Control Center are also ready for operation. All of them are equipped with SCADA systems meeting modern requirements.
Construction of new 35 kV power plants is also continuing in the territories liberated from occupation. The construction of a modern substation and Digital Control Center is underway in Lachin, as well as the completion of the 110/35/10 kV Minkend substation and the laying of a new 35 kV double-circuit overhead power line between the Agbulag HPP and the Minkend substation. The construction of the “Khojaly” substation and control center, as well as substations in the settlements of Asgaran, Malibayli, and Sighnag, continues in Khojaly.
The reconstruction of the “Zoghalbulag" substation in Khojavand and the laying of a double-circuit 35 kV power transmission line between the "Govshag" substation in Hadrut and the "Zoghalbulag" substation continue. Also in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Jabrayil districts, new transformer substations meeting modern requirements are being built to provide power supply to the settlements under construction or planned. Final works are currently underway at the Gubadli Digital Control Center.
Furthermore, construction of a double-circuit 35 kV power transmission line is underway to provide an external power supply to Zallar, Yanshag, Gamishli, and Chaikend villages in Kalbajar, Gulabird, Shalva, Erikli, and Kurdhaji in Lachin, Eyvazkhanbayli in Aghdam, Ashagigushchu, Yukharigushchu in Khojaly, Haybali in Shusha, Hadrut village, Tug village, and surrounding villages in Khojavand, Dovletyarli, Pirahmedli, Dedeli in Fuzuli, Khorovlu, Shukurbayli, and Khudaferin village in Jabrayil, Zangilan district, and Jahangirbayli village, Khanlig, Mahruzlu, and Zilanli villages in Gubadli.
