BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 9. Kazakhstan’s state-owned oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG) has reported a 6.8-percent increase in sales of its own petroleum products for the first nine months of 2024, Trend reports.
The total sales volume reached 3.973 million tons, with notable growth across both domestic and export markets, the company said.
Gasoline sales saw a modest increase, rising by 4.1 percent to a total of 1.178 million tons, all of which was sold domestically.
Diesel fuel sales, however, showed the most significant growth, increasing by 10.9 percent to 1.297 million tons.
Other petroleum products, categorized as also experienced robust growth, with a 15.4-percent rise in domestic sales to 994,000 tons. Despite a 9.5-percent decrease in export sales for this category, the total volume still saw a 6.6-percent increase due to strong domestic demand.
The overall increase in sales was largely supported by a rise in crude oil production from KazMunayGas’s subsidiaries, Ozenmunaigas and Embamunaigas, which boosted the availability of raw materials for refining and subsequent sales of petroleum products.
