Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 April / corr Trend U.Ismayilova / By 2011, Azerbaijan will fully apply the transition to the electronic real estate cadastre, Arif Garashov, head of the Azerbaijan State Service for Real Estate Cadastre, said on 1 April.
"At present, the State Service is involved in adopting other countries' experience in the application of the electronic cadastre system," Garashov said.
The Government of Azerbaijan and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) signed a credit agreement within the real estate registration project, a source stated at the Finance Ministry of Azerbaijan in July.
The project comprises of four components - registration of real estate; management and registration of the real estate; base cartography and land cadastre; trainings, formation of policy and management of the project. The total cost of the project comprises $38.57mln, with $30mln-worth credit to be allotted by the WB. The loan is allocated for the term of 20 years with the grace period of 5 years.
Garashov said that though a contact with the IBRD was signed in summer 2007, the implementation of the project will be set up in 2008 and now the electronic systems is used locally only between the some units of the State Service.
According to Garashov, with respect to implementation of the project since 15 April the Turkish company INDES, which won the tender, will launch orthophoto shootings from the airliner throughout the territory of Azerbaijan.
