Six of these projects are implemented in accordance with the government's order under the state program of forced industrial-innovation development for 2010-2014, Samruk-Kazyna's representative said.

Under this program, Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGas national oil and gas company will complete the construction of a complex for production of aromatic hydrocarbons at Atyrau refinery in 2014.

"This is a very large project with the cost of $1 billion. This is the largest project that we plan to launch in 2014," Rakhmetov said.

Samruk-Energo company will launch two projects under the state program of forced industrial-innovation development in 2014. These projects envisage the construction of a wind farm in Yereimentau city of Akmola region with the capacity of 45 MW and three substations in the city of Almaty.

The construction of a wind farm in the city of Yereimentau is a sign project, as it is planned to hold EXPO exhibition in Kazakhstan in 2017 on the topic of alternative energy sources, according to Rakhmetov. The project cost is $118 million.

The construction of substations in Almaty is also important, as this city has many problems with energy supply.

"Almaty is an old city and there is much obsolete equipment. Therefore, it is very important for us to construct these substations and to ensure uninterrupted power supply," Rakhmetov said.

Under the state program of forced industrial-innovation development, the United Chemical Company will complete the reconstruction of a sulfuric acid plant with production capacity of 180,000 tons in Akmola region in 2014, according to the chief financial officer of Samruk-Kazyna.

Kazakhtelecom JSC will complete the construction of telecommunication networks under the Fiber to the home program. The total cost of the project is $434 million.

"This is a very costly project, as it is implemented throughout the country; old information transmission lines are replaced with new optical fiber. We started the implementation of this project in 2011 and will complete it in 2014," Rakhmetov said.

Under the state program of forced industrial-innovation development, Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC) will complete the construction of the Alma substation near Astana with connection to Kazakhstan's national electricity grid in 2014. The cost of this project is $ 200 million.

The total cost of these six projects that are planned to be launched in 2014 under the state program of forced industrial-innovation development, is $2,348,000,000. Totally, some 604 jobs will be created as a result of implementation of these projects.

The total cost of the projects being implemented under the state program of forced industrial-innovation development, is $81 billion. Some 42 of these projects with the cost of $34 billon falls to the share of Samruk-Kazyna's companies.

"Under this program, we completed the projects worth $600 million in 2013. The full cycle of solar panels production has been launched, a refinery and a bitumen production plant have been constructed," Rakhmetov said.

The fund's total portfolio consists of 138 projects with total cost of $139 billion, according to the fund's chief financial officer.

"Under this large investment program, it is planned to create some 124,000 jobs during the construction period and 43,000 jobs during the period of operation," Rakhmetov said.

The National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna was established in line with Kazakh president's decree dated 2008 to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of the national economy. The fund brings together nearly all public assets of Kazakhstan and manages these assets on behalf of Kazakh government. These assets include the JSC NC KazMunaiGas, Kazakhstan Railways JSC (Kazakhstan Temir Zholy), Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company JSC (KEGOC), Kazakhtelecom JSC and Kazakh National Atomic Company Kazatomprom.
