The output capacity of Iran's Fajr-e Jam gas refinery, located in South Pars gas field, is expected to reach 50 million cubic meters in two years.
Hossein Montazer-Torbari, an official with the National Iranian gas company, said on July 8 that the refinery's current output stands at 25 million cubic meters per day, Iran's SHANA News Agency reported.
He went on to note that the Bidboland gas refinery is also ready to receive gas from Assaluyeh port city.
The refinery's input is supplied from the phases 6-8 of the South Pars gas field.
It was previously reported that the Fajr-e Jam gas refinery supplies 27 percent of country's needed gas.
The refinery is located in Iran's southern province of Bushehr.
The refinery also has the capacity to produce 200 tons of LPG and 80 tons of condensates.
