The volume of foreign remittances from Kazakhstan grew by 39 percent for the first seven months of 2015 compared to the same period in 2014 and amounted to 184 billion tenge (174 tenge = $1), according to the Ranking.kz analytical service.
The number of transfers has also increased during the reporting period from 934,000 to 1.3 million.
In January-July 2015, the average money transfer from Kazakhstan remained almost unchanged and amounted to 141,600 tenge.
There are 15 systems on the market of money transfers in Kazakhstan.
The greatest increase in remittances sent to the country was recorded in the Contact system of remittances. For the seven months of 2015, some 38.1 billion tenge were sent through the system against 15.4 billion tenge in 2014. The system share on the market has increased from 11.6 percent to 20.7 percent.
The Golden Crown system holds the second place. The total volume of remittances sent in January-July 2015 amounted to 55 billion tenge, which is 30 percent more than in the same period last year. This is the largest amount of remittances sent via a single system.
They are followed by the Blitz money transfer system. The volume of remittances sent via the system in January-July amounted to 11.3 billion tenge, which is 4.5 times more than in the same period last year. The system's share on the market of Kazakhstan has increased from 1.9 percent to 6.2 percent.
