Food production up by 20 percent in Azerbaijan

The total value of food production in Azerbaijan reached 1.949 billion manats in January-June 2019, which is 20 percent more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.

The production of beverages increased by 65.2 percent up to 225.101 million manats, while the production of tobacco products went up by 14.2 percent to 54.859 million manats in January-June 2019.

In total, food, beverages and tobacco products worth 2.229 billion manats were produced in January-June 2019, which is an increase by 24.4 percent for the year.
