The launch of the assembling of combine harvesters of German Claas was proposed in Kazakhstan’s North-Kazakhstan region, Trend reports with reference to press office of the region’s akimat (administrative center).
The suggestion was made by the Governor of the Region Kumar Aksakalov within the negotiations with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Kazakhstan Tilo Klinner.
“The local assembling will provide for a number of benefits, including the increase of labor efficiency in agricultural complex and lower cost of the machinery,” Aksakalov said.
He further added that the high-performance German machinery assembled in the region will decrease the cost of the said machinery by 52 percent. Thus, the agriculture manufacturers will be able to significantly increase labor productivity.
“Currently, 400 units of Claas machinery operate in the region. We need service center with spare parts warehouse so that local farmers can get necessary part within a day instead of ordering in advance. We are ready to allocate facilities for the center,” the governor of the region said.
Furthermore, Aksakalov stated that the region is interested in establishing herbicide plant based on expertise of German farmers. Families and necessary infrastructure has already been prepared for the launch of the joint venture.
Tilo Klinner displayed support to the governor’s proposals, the press office said.
