To the beginning of November this year, the volume of tobacco leaves collected in the country has totaled 4,600 tons from the sown area of 1,800 hectares. The volume of the collection has decreased on 2,300 tons against the same period of the last year, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee.
The crop capacity per a hectare reached 25.4 centners versus 25 centners in the last year. The main reason of the reduction in the production of tobacco leaves is the reduction of tobacco sown areas on 1,000 hectares this year.
