SOCAR announces plans on gas station network expansion in Ukraine

The total number of petrol stations under the brand SOCAR in Ukraine is projected to reach 50 until the end of the year, a source at SOCAR told Trend on Tuesday.

The source noted that currently there are 26 stations under SOCAR brand in Ukraine.

"Currently the process of rebranding a number of stations is implemented and it is planned to increase the number of stations to 50 in Ukraine before the end of the year," the source said.
The source added that two large gas stations in Kiev will be commissioned soon. One station will be located in the city center and the second - on the road from Boryspil airport.

SOCAR is the only producer of oil products in the country (it has two refineries on its balance sheet) and also owns petrol stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia and the Ukraine. SOCAR is co-owner of the largest Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim. The company carries out oil trade in various regions of the world through SOCAR Trading.

SOCAR includes the Azneft production association (the companies producing oil and gas on and offshore), the Azerkimya industrial association (chemical enterprises) and Azerigaz industrial association (gas distribution).
