Italian InterOil company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iran's Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) and Petropars on an upstream oil project, Shana reported on June 9.
The MoU includes establishing a center for supporting exploration and production (on-offshore) operations, as well as export of oil in southern regions.
"Firstly, the feasibility studies of the project will be carried out in 8 months and after reaching positive results, InterOil would invest funds and participate in development of the project," Mohammad Javad Shams, COE of Petropars told Shana.
Italian InterOil has already involved with Petropars in developing of Phase 12 of South Pars gas field. This phase's production capacity is 82 million cubic meters per day. Phase 12 was inaugurated in 2015.
