The installed capacity of electric networks in Azerbaijan will be increased to 11,900 megavolt ampere (MVA) until the end of the year, Chairman of Azerishig OJSC Baba Rzayev wrote in his article, published in the "Azerbaijan" newspaper.

According to him, this figure was 9,500 MVA in early 2015.

“Over the past ten years, the country has built forty 110-kilovolt substations. The number of new 35-kilovolt substations reached 141,” he noted.

The article says that technical losses decreased to 9.9 percent in the regional electricity networks of Azerishig in January-September 2017.

“Charges on the country accounted for 87 percent, and on Baku – 98.3 percent. The average monthly salary of employees has almost doubled over 10 years – from 340 manats in 2006 to 625 manats in 2016. Tax liabilities to the state budget have been fulfilled by 100 percent,” says the article.
