Swiss ABB to generate 60% of revenues with environmentally friendly technologies

ABB Group with global headquarters in Switzerland, intends to generate 60 percent of its revenues with technologies that combat the causes of climate change by 2020, the company told Trend.

“ABB attaches great importance to environment and sustainability: Over half of ABB's worldwide revenues are generated by technologies that combat the causes of climate change. The company is progressing well towards the goal of increasing this contribution to 60 percent by 2020,” said the Swiss company.

ABB said its current target for climate action is to reduce its own GHG emissions by 40 percent by 2020 from a 2013 baseline. “We are well on course to achieving this goal.”

ABB said the company continually improves its solutions, resulting in higher efficiency and reduced emissions for the good of environment and society.
