Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi called every relevant state-owned institution to find a solution to drought going on in the country, Trend reports citing IRNA.
President Ebrahim Raisi made the remarks during a cabinet meeting.
Raisi proposed to change the cultivation pattern as one of the ways to deal with water shortage, which has been a problem for Iran.
The president went on to note the need to teach farmers on using the new methods of cultivation.
Droughts have dogged Iran for decades, but have intensified over the past decade. Most Iranian provinces currently face certain levels of drought.
