ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 25. Turkmenistan has finalized significant agreements for the export of oil products with international entrepreneurs on its State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased base oil of the SN-180 brand in Turkmenistan, produced by enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern, for $6 million.
At the same time, representatives of the Türkiye's business community purchased viscous petroleum bitumen for a total of $110,000, and an entrepreneur in Uzbekistan purchased hydrotreated diesel fuel for a total of $360,875.
Meanwhile, in recent years, Turkmenistan has experienced significant progress in the oil refining sector, driven by strategic planning and the modernization of existing facilities.
This involves implementing advanced technology and equipment, attracting foreign capital to enhance oil product production capacity and efficiency, diversifying the economy, and expanding export potential.
Turkmenistan established the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, the most important body of state regulation for export-import operations, on July 29, 1994.
