Trade volume on Uzbekistan’s Toshkent Republican Stock Exchange for the first nine months of 2018 amounted to 329.8 billion soums, which is 4.8 times more compared to the corresponding period last year (68.4 billion soums), the press service of the exchange said.
In total, 7.3 billion shares of 113 joint-stock companies were sold.
The most popular were the securities of commercial banks and insurance companies, which totaled 264.5 billion soums or 80.2 percent of the exchange turnover.
The share of enterprises of the agro-industrial complex was 4.9 percent (16.2 billion soums), of the industrial sector – 3.6 percent (11.8 billion soums) and the share of enterprises in the construction sector – 3 percent (10.2 billion soums).
