The total volume of deposits in Azerbaijan reached 24.8 billion manat ($14.5 billion) in January 2020, which is 13 percent more compared to January 2019, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani Central Bank (CBA).
The volume of deposits of non-financial organizations increased by 16.9 percent compared to December 2019, amounting to 14.4 billion manat ($8.4 billion).
The total volume of deposits of legal entities in December 2019 increased by 3 percent and reached 8.6 billion manat ($5 billion).
In January 2020, deposits in foreign currency amounted to over 15,2 billion manat ($8 billion), which is by 4.1 percent more than in January 2019.
Big growth of deposits in the national currency is observed, which increased by 30.7 percent compared to January 2019, having reached 9.63 billion manat ($5.6 billion).
