The capacity of the Azerbaijani Delta Telecom's trunk line has reached 1.6 terabits per second, Technical Director Rahid Alekberli told Trend.
He said Delta Telecom's Internet backbone is not only engaged in the AzNET segment. Traffic is transited through the company's infrastructure to Iran, Iraq and Georgia.
"We are interested in transporting a great capacity. Mirror sites were created for the platform's stability. Our main line is connected to the Tier1 network level of such major operators as Telia Sonera, TATA Communications and Level 3 Communications," he said.
He said the company is developing connections with Russia's largest operators such as Rostelecom and Transtelecom to be closer to Russian-language content and Internet-based resources.
