UAE, Afghanistan buy Turkmen-made gasoline

Entrepreneurs from the UAE, Turkey, and Afghanistan purchased in foreign currency gasoline and hydrotreated diesel fuel manufactured at Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries last week during the trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

In addition, entrepreneurs from the UAE and Afghanistan also bought gasoline produced at Turkmenistan’s Seydi Oil Refinery in foreign currency.

Also, entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan purchased handmade carpets, dyed terry products, cotton yarn and fabric, and denim in foreign currency.

In addition, urea has become the subject of transactions by representatives of the UK, while high-density polyethylene - of Russia and Turkey.

The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $47.7 million.

Transactions in Turkmen manat were also made on the exchange. For example, entrepreneurs from the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, and Kazakhstan bought cotton yarn totaling more than 25.4 million Turkmen manat ($7.3 million).

Local businessmen purchased trucks and cotton fiber for a total amount of over 40.19 million manat ($11.4 million) for the domestic market.

In total, 69 transactions were registered on the exchange last week.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
