ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 11. Turkmenistan and the Caspian Institute of Maritime and River Transport of Russia discussed cooperation in the field of maritime training, Trend reports.
According to the official source, these issues were discussed during a meeting between the head of the Russian Institute Olga Kartashova and the Consul of Turkmenistan Gadam Ilamanov, which was also attended by the Minister of External Relations of the Astrakhan region Vladimir Golovkov.
The main topic of discussion was the training of specialists for maritime and river transport of Turkmenistan on the basis of the Caspian Institute of Maritime and River Transport in Russia.
Furthermore, the parties considered the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the field of higher and secondary education, as well as increasing the number of Turkmen students at the Russian institute.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold a videoconference with the participation of representatives of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is making significant efforts in the field of maritime training, striving to develop its potential in the maritime industry and ensure compliance with international standards.
An important aspect is the introduction of modern simulators, as well as international programs and courses, which allows students to gain practical skills and experience necessary to work in international waters.
