ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 16. Malaysian Capital A is interested in developing ventures in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.

This was stated during the meeting between Director of the Department for Attracting Investments and Marketing of KAZAKH INVEST JSC Nurzhan Abilkhayr and representatives of AirAsia X (subsidiary of holding).

The Capital A holding, which includes AirAsia X, also has a diverse portfolio that includes air travel, logistics, hospitality, trucking services, online banking, the generation and sale of airline tickets and tour packages, and a mobile application with a marketplace that is widely used in the region.

In this context, the company's executives stated an interest in developing comparable projects in Kazakhstan in order to access the Central Asian market.

In addition, it was noted that AirAsia X will launch direct flights from Malaysia to Kazakhstan. The flight on the route Kuala Lumpur - Almaty - Kuala Lumpur will be launched in March 2024.

The parties noted that this will significantly simplify access for Kazakhstanis to the main economic and tourism markets of Southeast Asia and will have a positive impact on the growth of business activity and cultural and humanitarian ties, increasing trade, expanding investment cooperation and attracting tourist flows to Kazakhstan.
