ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 25. The volume of investments attracted from Germany to Kazakhstan amounted to $770 million in 2023, Trend reports.
The corresponding data was reflected in the Kazakh Invest report on the status of the implementation of projects by the Kazakh-German working group, presented during a meeting of the Investment Promotion Council.
According to the data, to date, the total pool of German projects in Kazakhstan includes 63 projects with a total value of about $54.4 billion and the creation of 14,700 jobs.
Positive growth was noted in bilateral trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Germany: in 2022, the growth was 24.7 percent, and in 2023, it was 41.3 percent. Kazakhstan is among the top 50 trading partners of Germany and is a key partner in Central Asia.
Meanwhile, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Germany amounted to $3.896 billion in 2023. The volume of trade turnover increased by 41 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($2.763 billion).
At the same time, in the structure of trade turnover, exports to Germany for the above period amounted to $742.3 million, which is 40 percent more than from January through December 2022 ($530.8 million).
In addition, imports from Germany from January through December 2023 increased by 41.2 percent and amounted to $3.153 billion. In 2022, imports amounted to $2.232 billion.
