Kyrgyzstan Materials 30 October 2011 13:35 (UTC +04:00)

The Central Election Commission received complaints about poor marking and voter lists, the CEC Deputy Chairman Aynura Shayimkulova said during live broadcast on Sunday, KyrTAG Agency reported.

"So far, the CEC received complaints about marking and voter lists. A working group has been created on the voter lists, which is chaired by CEC member Ishenbay Kadyrbekov. The working group has already found names of 7 people in the voter list, who complained that they are not included in the voter lists," Shayimkulova said.

With regard to marking, Shayimkulova stressed that citizens complain that marking is washed off during the first washing.

"It is due to the fact that at some polling stations marking is applied to the nail, not to the inner face of nail, as is required. Therefore, marking is washed off," she added.

Presidential elections started in Kyrgyzstan at 8:00 local time on Sunday.
Under the new Constitution, the President of Kyrgyzstan is elected for six years and only one term.

Some 2,289 polling stations, as well as 29 polling stations in 23 countries will operate to hold the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan.
