BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 23. The gross output of agricultural products in Kyrgyzstan totaled 107.827 billion soms ($1.274 billion) from January through June 2024, Trend reports.
According to Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee, the volume of production increased by 3.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
Within the total agricultural production in the first half of 2024, livestock products accounted for 77.8 percent, crop production 18.9 percent, forestry 0.1 percent, fishing 0.5 percent, and services 2.7 percent.
During the period under review, farmers' households contributed 93.9 percent of the total production.
As was noted, the growth in agricultural output was driven by a 2.2 percent increase in livestock production and a 6 percent rise in crop production.
The gross output of agricultural products in Kyrgyzstan for 2023 amounted to 378.699 billion soms (around $4.4 billion), with the volume increasing by 0.6 percent.
