BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 23. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan amounted to $482,666 from January through May 2024, Trend reports.
According to Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee, the figure declined by 62 percent compared to $1.269 million recorded in January–May 2023.
Kyrgyzstan’s exports to Tajikistan totaled $17,387, a significant drop of 98.3 percent from $1.010 million in the same period last year.
Conversely, Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Tajikistan reached $464,883, an increase of 79.5 percent compared to $258,999 during the same period in 2023.
Kyrgyzstan foreign trade turnover amounted to $6.488 billion from January through May 2024, which is an 18.6 percent increase compared to January–May 2023.
Exports totaled $1.046 billion, a 4.8 percent rise from January–May 2023. Imports increased by 21.7 percent year-on-year, reaching $5.442 billion.
