BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. Uzbekistan plans to increase the volume of trade turnover with Kazakhstan to $10 billion, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev said during Uzbek-Kazakh Interregional Business Forum in Tashkent, Trend reports.
Khodjaev said that in recent years trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan doubled, and will reach $5 billion by the end of 2022.
The minister added that both governments set a target to increase trade turnover to $10 billion, including through active import substitution. In this regard, a joint Foreign Trade Company will be established soon.
He emphasized the cooperation dynamics between the two countries and said that to date there are about 1,200 enterprises with Kazakh investments in Uzbekistan.
