Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said the country supports Syrian nation's legitimate demands and stepping up the process of implementing reforms in the country, ISNA reported.
Salehi met with Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn in Tehran Sunday where they discussed mutual, regional and international issues.
Salehi stressed broadening bilateral ties with Lebanon particularly in defense field, adding regional countries should be vigilant against enemy's plots in sowing dispute among regional countries.
Salehi added Iran is against any interference and it believes that all problems inside the country should be resolved internally.
"Unfortunately, now we are witnessing that foreign media have acknowledged weapon smuggling to Syria and terrorist actions inside the country to make the country insecure," he added.
The foreign minister noted increasing pressures against Syrian nation and state is due to the country's independent position in supporting resistance against Zionists in the region.
Salehi stressed there would be no opportunity for continual hegemonic power's interference and dominance, Zionists' assaults and violating oppressed Palestinians' legitimate rights.
Fayez Ghosn for his part hailed Iran's all-out support for Lebanese nation, government and resistance.
He stressed recent pressures on Syrian nation and state is because of support for resistance, saying the government should implement reforms to meet the nation's legitimate rights.
