Iran’s non-oil exports hit $20B in 7 months

Iran's non-oil exports (excluding condensates) surpassed $20.63 billion during the first seven months of 2015, indicating an increase by 11.23 percent compared to the same period of the preceding year.

Iran exported some 46 million metric tons of non-oil goods during that period which is 1.3 percent less compared with the first seven months of 2014, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its latest monthly report published Sept. 1.

Liquefied propane worth $1.12 billion, petroleum gases and liquefied gas hydrocarbons worth $965 million and tar worth $889 million topped the list of Iran 's exported non-oil goods.

Liquefied propane exports registered a 10.44-percent fall compared to the first seven months of 2014 in terms of value, meanwhile exports of petroleum gases and liquefied gas hydrocarbons and tar witnessed increase by 384.8 percent and 12.4 percent respectively.

Iran's overall exports excluding the three mentioned goods increased by 8.3 percent in terms of value and witnessed a 5.5 percent decrease in terms of volume compared to the 7-month period of 2014.

The average price for each one metric ton of Iran 's non-oil goods in the mentioned period was around $448, which is 12.7 percent more than in the previous year.

Iran's overall non-oil trade turn over stood at $48.5 billion during the first seven months of 2015. Imports shared 57.4 percent of the mentioned figure.

Iran's trade balance with 82 countries was positive, while with 76 countries it was negative.
