Bid Boland-2 refinery will come on stream when its first phase is finished, projected for the Iranian calendar year 1397 (which will end March 20, 2018).
The completion of the refinery is highly important for a number of strategic plants, Persian Gulf Holding CEO Adel Salim Nejad told Shana news agency June 15.
He said the project will need $2.8 billion funds to be completed.
Persian Gulf Holding exports $8 billion to $9 billion of products each year. In 2013, the company was recognized as the Middle East's second greatest exporter of petrochemical products.
The company's nominal export capacity stands at 22 million tons per year.
