Iranian mines and mining industry export products worth $4B

According to the latest statistics of Iran related to foreign trade, the growth has been recorded in mines and mining industry sector of Iran in the first half of the current year (beginning from March 21, 2018), Mizan news agency reported.

Compared to the same period of last year, a 15-percent growth has been recorded regarding metal products in terms of value with their exports amounting to $3.2 million, and a 16 percent decline has been recorded in terms of their weight.

A 18-20 percent growth has been recorded regarding steel bars, long and wide steel and copper cathode products. Besides, the exports of stone and iron ore, pyrite copper ore, aluminum and lead bars have decreased due to export ban and growth of local demand.

Meanwhile, in the mining industry 10,345 tons of products worth $800 million have been exported for the first 6 months of the current year. During the same period of last year, the value of exports of the mining industry amounted to $749 million. And a 7-percent growth has been recorded this year.

Cement, clinker bricks, glazed products and ceramics, porcelain ware and glass ware were considered the most exported products.

Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, China and India are considered the main markets for these products.
