CEO of Chabahar Free Zone Organization Abdul Rahim Kurdi stated that during the last five years, investment in Chabahar Free Zone increased by 106.8 times, reaching $1.2 billion, Trend reports via IRNA.
“In 2019, we had more than 980 investment applications, the amount of which have increased in 2020," he said.
“In 2015, the total number of production units in this region was about 55 units," he noted.
Kurdi also said that the Zone has signed a construction contract worth $720 billion.
He pointed out that the purchase of equipment for three desalination plants is on the agenda.
