Opposition's statements made as an ultimatum are unacceptable during the authorities-opposition dialogue, member of the ruling coalition's working group (representing Rule of Law party) Mher Shahgeldyan, NEWS.am reported.

His remarks came in response to the statement of Arman Musinyan, spokesperson for opposition Armenian National Congress, who said expediency of dialogue with Armenian authorities will depend on fate of opposition activists detained on August 9.

According to Shahgeldyan, the coalition is interested in "unbiased process, whereas statements made as an ultimatum are unacceptable".

"It puts an obstacle to the dialogue with the incumbent authorities. However, there is still 24 hours period. We will specify our actions till tomorrow," Musinyan said at Monday press conference commenting on the incident involving the opposition activists.
