The Libyan besieged town of Sirte has been completely cleared of troops loyal to fugitive leader Moamer Gaddafi, the Aljazeera reported.
Earlier today, fighters backed by the Libyan transitional leadership renewed their attacks against the last spots of resistance.
Hundreds of National Transitional Council troops have for weeks been fighting for control of Sirte, Gaddafi's hometown.
Following the fall of Sirte, the new Libyan leaders will completely control the country after they topped Gaddafi and ended his 42-year rule in August.
