Israel and Palestinian militant organizations signed a deal Monday ending a mass hunger strike by Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, the head of a Palestinian prisoners' support group said, dpa reported.
All Palestinian factions support the deal, which was reached via Egyptian mediation, Kadoura Fares of the Palestinian Prisoners' Club said.
Some 1,550 Palestinians prisoners have been on hunger strike since April 17 to protest conditions in Israeli jails.
