Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Saturday condemned the strikes by Israel on Gaza and called for an immediate end to the violence, dpa reported.
A statement said Karzai "condemns in the strongest terms such attacks that have continued for years now and calls for an immediate end to the killings of innocent civilians."
Calling for a ceasefire, Karzai said, "Harming civilians is unjustifiable on any side and anywhere."
