BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 16. With Azerbaijan joining our format, our region's voice in the global community will become even more significant, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated today at the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent, Trend's special correspondent reports.

The President of Uzbekistan announced that Azerbaijan has been granted full membership in the Central Asia Consultative Meetings.

“Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are closely linked by a shared history, family ties, and spiritual and cultural affinity. Such meetings give a strong impetus to our relations, opening new horizons for expanding trade and economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, as well as for developing coordinated solutions on sustainable development issues.

Essentially, we are building a solid bridge between Central Asia and the South Caucasus, paving the way for the creation of a unified cooperation space, which will undoubtedly strengthen the strategic interconnection and resilience of both regions,” he said.
