BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. The leg of a man who was hit by a mine in Aghdara has been amputated, the Surgeon of Barda Central District Hospital, Hafiz Aliyev, told Trend.
"A person born in 1974 (male) was hospitalized at Tartar Central District Hospital around 09:30 am today.
Upon receiving primary health care, the patient was evacuated to Barda Central District Hospital to receive more qualified medical care.
The injured person was noted to have a traumatic amputation of the left lower extremity. A surgical procedure was performed on the man. Currently, his treatment continues in the appropriate department. The patient's condition is assessed as "critical".

AGDERE, Azerbaijan, July 10. A mine explosion occurred in Azerbaijan's Agdere district, Trend reports.
A resident of the village of Shikharkh, Gulu Guliyev, was injured as a result of the mine explosion.
Law enforcement officers have been dispatched to the scene.
A mine-related incident occurred in the village of Hasangaya, Aghdara district. Gulu Guliyev, born in 1979, was wounded in his left leg as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion while grazing cattle in the unmined territory of Hasangaya village.
The incident is being investigated by the Tartar District Prosecutor's Office.
