BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 22. Kyrgyzstan is moving forward with plans to create a modern bonded warehouse at Manas International Airport, Trend reports via the airport.
This was announced during the meeting between Chinese delegation from ZTO Cloud Warehouse Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and a delegation from Airports of Kyrgyzstan JSC.
The discussions focused on on-site implementation and the use of intelligent logistics solutions to improve air cargo and customs operations.
The meeting follows a Kyrgyz delegation’s trip to China earlier this month, which aimed to exchange experience in intelligent logistics and cross-border e-commerce. The bonded warehouse project is part of a joint initiative involving JSC State Customs Infrastructure, Airports of Kyrgyzstan, and Kyrgyz Post, aimed at creating a dedicated bonded zone at Manas International Airport. Officials said the visit signals that cooperation with ZTO Cloud Warehouse Science and Technology Co., Ltd. is entering a practical phase, with technical proposals now being considered for immediate application.
The bonded warehouse is expected to strengthen Kyrgyzstan’s capacity in international trade, modernize airport logistics infrastructure, and support the development of e-commerce and cross-border cargo handling.
