Azerbaijan, Baku, April 23 /Trend/

The trade turnover between Iran and China will be brought to $50 billion by late 2015 [by the end of the fifth development program], Iran-China Joint Trade Chamber Co-chair Asadullah Asgarovladi was quoted as saying by the IRNA news agency. Asgarovladi is on visit to Beijing to attend the Iran-China Joint Economic Commission's meeting.

He said the figure now stands at $30 billion and it will be brought to $50 billion upon the fifth development program of Iran.

"We aim not to realize the import-export operations, but to make joint investments. We need the Chinese technology to make joint investments, but not its money. Iran has enough money," Asgarovladi said.

Based on the Iranian Customs Committee's official data, the export volume in Iran's non-oil sector (excluding the gas-condensate) hit 59.868 million tons ($26.327 billion) in 2010. The figure is more by 26 percent in terms of weight and 20 percent in terms of value compared to 2009.

Iran imported 45.287 million tons of goods ($64.364 billion) in 2010. The figure is less by 13 percent in terms of weight and more by 4.16 percent in terms of value compared to 2009.
