Iran Alloy Steel complex output up 17 per cent

The Iran Alloy Steel complex produced 24,388 tons of crude steel in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began March 20, 2012.

The figure shows a 17 per cent increase in comparison to the previous year's figure of 277,150 tons, the IRNA News Agency reported.

The company also exported over 17,000 tons of crude steel worth more than 17 million dollars in the same period.

Germany, Spain, Armenia, England, the United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Turkey, Netherlands, and Poland were the company's main destination markets.

The Iran Alloy Steel complex is located in the Central province of Yazd. It has the capacity to annually produce 140,000 tons of crude steel.
