Around 978,580 Azerbaijani tourists visited Georgia in January-November 2013 or 19.76 percent of the total number of tourists who arrived in the country, the Georgian National Tourism Administration told Trend today.
The tourist flow to Georgia increased at an annual rate of 14.94 percent or 127,180 people. For comparison, around 851,400 Azerbaijani citizens visited Georgia in January-November 2012.
Azerbaijan is among the top three countries of tourists visiting Georgia. Many Turkish tourists (a little less than 1.5 million people) arrived in Georgia in January- November 2013. Armenia with 1.16 million tourists during the period ranked second.
