The amount of goods transported through the Hormozgan province's railroads from the beginning of this year (started on March21, 2018) to the mid of the January was 16.82 million, said Director General of the Hormozgan province's Railroads Hassan Massouri, Trend reports via IRNA.
The mentioned amount has grown by 4 percent compared to the same period last year.
Outlining the 10-month performance of the Hormozgan Railway Administration, Massouri said that 6.34 million tons of all kinds of minerals and merchandise were transported through the Hormozgan provinces' railroads.
"These goods include containers and transit products that have been loaded from Gol Gohar stations and Shahid Rajaee ports for domestic and foreign destinations,” Hassan Massouri said.
He added that during this period 10.47 million tons of various mineral products were discharged into other lines of the province.
According to the Director General of the Hormozgan Railroad, the performance of the Shahid Rajaee port was transporting 7.51 million tons of goods during this period.
The Hormozgan Railway Administration has 800 km of railroad tracks with 25 stations.
