Uzbekistan signs 22 agreements worth over $90 M with foreign companies

During the International Medical and Pharmaceutical Forum organized in Namangan on September 13-14 this year, considerable mutually beneficial agreements were signed, Trend reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

Agreements totaling $92.7 million were signed with 22 companies from Russia, China, India, Germany, Austria, Israel, Egypt, Pakistan, Slovakia and Ukraine.

In particular, an agreement on the production of pharmaceutical products worth $30 million was reached between Spring Pharmaceutical LLC operating in the FEZ “Kosonso Farm” LLC in Uzbekistan and Pharco Pharmaceuticals Corporation of Egypt.

Another agreement was concluded between the Namangan Regional Department of Health and Austrian company AME International GmbH to equip a cardiology center in the amount of $10 million.

In addition, Merrimed Pharm LLC and German Textima Export Import signed an agreement on the organization of a multidisciplinary medical center in the amount of 30 million euros.

Within the framework of the forum, local and foreign qualified specialists in cooperation performed about 40 high-tech complex operations. In particular, a kidney transplant surgery was carried out for the first time in the history of the region.

The agreements reached within the forum and the high-tech surgical operations performed are important not only for the development of the field, but also for improving the public health service, read the message.
