Kazakhstan’s GDP growth to slow down - IMF

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 12. Kazakhstan’s GDP growth will slow down to 2.5 percent in 2022 as compared to 4.1 percent in 2021, IMF’s World Economic Outlook report said, Trend reports citing the IMF.

Thus, the growth of Kazakhstan’s GDP is expected to be 2.5 percent in 2022 with a subsequent increase to 4.4 percent in 2023.

Inflation is forecast to reach 14 percent in 2022 and to go down in 2023 reaching 11.3 percent annual. This is compared to 8 percent of increase in consumer prices in 2021.

Unemployment rate is expected to stay at the level of 2021 – 4.9 percent in 2022 and then to further decrease to 4.8 percent in 2023.
