Bill On 2007 State Budget of Azerbaijan Approved

The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan discussed the bill On 2007 state budget at the meeting held on September 25 under the chairmanship of the Azerbaijani Primer Minister Artur Rasizade, Trend reports.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijani Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said that the volume of gross domestic products (GDP) in 2007 budget has been planned in the level of AZN AZN 22.2 billion, and its real growth will exceed 26.3%. The volume of GDP per capita equals AZN 2600 and the average monthly salary AZN 195.1.

According to the Minister, the budget forecasts were devised considering the cost of one barrel of oil in $50.

In 2007, it is intended to balance the tax privileges to minimum, increase the collection of taxes in non-oil sector and raise the tax collection in regions. It is related to the acceleration of their development over the recent period, Sharifov stressed.

The revenues of the 2007 state budget will increase by 6.8 times as comprised with 2001, and equal AZN 5 336 mln or 24% from the volume of GDP, and expenditures AZN 5 715 mln or 25.7% from GDP.

In 2007, it is planned to open 10 embassies and diplomatic representations of Azerbaijan, and the state budget envisages disbursing AZN 7.6 mln to organize their activities.
