Serious work at all levels is required for the introduction of a system of unified assessment of insurance damage under compulsory third party liability insurance (CTP) in Azerbaijan, Azer Aliyev, chairman of the board of Azerbaijan Insurers Association (AIA), told Trend.
In particular, he highlighted the importance of involving the supervisory authority [Financial Market Supervisory Authority of Azerbaijan (FIMSA)] in the process of creating this system, together with professional members of the insurance market.
Aliyev also added that service stations and any other organizations associated with car repairs cannot be left aside in this matter, since this system will have a direct relation to all car services in the country.
"It is important to connect experts and use their practical experience, and connecting such a large number of participants at different levels requires serious coordination work. Therefore, the resolution of this issue is delayed," he said.
The initiator of the introduction of a unified system for assessing insurance damage in Azerbaijan is Audatex Azerbaijan. The use of software provided by Audatex allows for applying single approaches in the insurance market of Azerbaijan, as well as a system for assessing damage to a vehicle caused by an accident, which ensures an assessment of damage by insurers under a single system.
