Iranian banks support service sector with loans in various fields

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Iranian banks issued loans worth 3.17 quadrillion rials (about $75.4 billion) in the services sector during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Trend reports.

As reflected in the data of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), over 538 trillion rials (about $12.8 billion) of the mentioned amount were issued for the establishment of enterprises and facilities in the services sector of Iran.

Also, Iranian banks issued loans worth 2.42 quadrillion rials (about $57.7 billion) as working capital in the services sector within 3 months.

At the same time, the banks issued loans worth 139 trillion rials (about $3.3 billion) for the development of enterprises and approximately 25.8 trillion rials ($614 million) for self-employment in the services sector for 3 months.

Moreover, 12.3 trillion rials (about $293 million) worth of loans were issued for the purchase of housing, 6.8 trillion rials (about $162 million) for repair work, and 20.3 trillion rials (about $483 million) for the purchase of personal assets in the services sector.

In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth approximately 7.85 quadrillion rials (about $187 billion) in various economic sectors within the first 3 months of the current Iranian year.
