BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 22. The regions of Kyrgyzstan imported 14,816 tons of agricultural products from August 11 through 17, 2023, which is 154 tons less than in the previous week from August 4 through 10, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, in the Chuy region, 10,424 tons of agricultural products were imported, including 4,101 tons of cereals (wheat, barley, and rice) from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Pakistan.
In the Osh region, 2,175 tons of agricultural products were imported. During this week, 1,014 tons of melons were imported to the region from Uzbekistan.
The Naryn region imported 877 tons of agricultural products, with 477 tons of nuts imported from China.
In the Batken region, 777 tons of agricultural products were imported. Among other products, 578 tons of fruits and 130 tons of melons were imported from Uzbekistan.
The Jalal-Abad region imported 459 tons of agricultural products. This week, 318 tons of melons were imported from Uzbekistan.
In the Talas region, 104 tons of agricultural products were brought in. Of them, 79 tons of flour were imported to the region from Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, within and from the territory of the country, 6,245 tons of agricultural products were exported from Kyrgyzstan from August 11 through 17, 2023.
